Katrina Tuttle is a household name when it comes to the city’s fashion scene, and yet somehow this is her first Best of Halifax win. Known for her high-end, ready to wear women’s clothing and evening-wear—like the exclusive line she creates for Sweet Pea Boutique—Tuttle’s recently taken the plunge into wedding dress design, and has totally found her niche in the process. “I think that we have such a good scene locally,” says Tuttle, wowed by the local love. “People are getting so good at supporting local suppliers, and supporting things made sustainably and here.”
