It shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who attended one of three simultaneous sold-out screenings at the Atlantic Film Festival that Andrea Dorfman and Tanya Davis’ stirring love story Heartbeat has won Best Film. Poet Davis buoyed the colourful feature with her honest performance in a film featuring a scrapbook of well-known Haligonians and north end locales. If you missed it at the AFF, or just want to see it again, Heartbeat will begin its theatrical run starting November 21 at Park Lane.
