In fiction, self-storage units are important plot devices: the missing documents are stored in them, the heroes live in them, the body parts are stashed in them. The other day, on the bar TV, a woman wearing latex had turned a storage unit into hacker central, computers everywhere, before she realized the missiles were coming and escaped moments before the place was blown to smithereens.
