Gold Winner Nomad Gourmet
Silver Winner The Food Wolf
Bronze Winner Bud the Spud
An incredibly tight race proves that readers love their food trucks, but Nomad Gourmet grabs the glory. “People are looking for something other than fish and chips when they need a quick bite to eat,” says owner Nick Horne. “Nomad is focused on providing delicious alternatives to the textbook take-away lunch.” And at least 90 percent of Nomad’s food comes from nearby. “We have locally sourced burgers, barbecue-smoked brisket, chicken and pork burritos, fried chicken and waffles and more.” Another thing that separates this food truck from its competitors is the fact that these eats are made fresh, on-the-spot—no storage containers of food here. Look for the Nomad on Argyle Street and at the Historic Farmers' Market.
