Gold Winner Point Pleasant Park
Silver Winner Shubie Park
Bronze Winner Lake Banook
If Halifax were New York (yeah, we know), Point Pleasant Park would be Central Park---our little urban oasis. Perhaps that’s a stretch but there are many reasons that the polls haven’t budged in this category since last year. A run in Point Pleasant guarantees you the following: challenging terrain, a waterfront view, historic relevance, a constant parade of cute dogs and lots of personal space---plus the added bonuses of occasionally interrupting a teenage makeout and grabbing a post-run ice cream across the street at Point Pleasant Grocery. If one thing’s for sure, it’s that they don’t call it Pleasant for nothing.
