“The atmosphere is perfect, service is attentive,” comments a voter, “it’s always fun at Remedy!” A mani/pedi, fun? Relaxing, effective and professional, sure, but fun? Remedy owner Angela Bishop---whose credentials in the field include winning the silver for Best Aesthetician this year---describes the spa as “open concept, non-pretentious.” She swears the nail techs welcome hard cases like the average male’s paws, “the worst the feet, the happier we are.” And Remedy will soon be expanding its hours to open on Mondays and stay open longer at night. So it’s successful, suitable for men, inviting for first timers...but fun? Well, there is the liquor license. Remedy got licensed because its do-it-yourself facial setup is ideal for booze-and-beauty bonding sessions like bridal parties. But other spa customers are welcome to order from the bar, too. “Yes, you can get a drink without doing your own facial,” says Bishop. “Lots of guys ask us that.” Fun!
