Best Naturopath

Sarah Baillie

Having just come back from maternity leave, Baillie has only been working half days, but enjoys the work/life balance she’s able to maintain, and is planning on increasing her work hours in the near future. Perhaps “never working full-time again” is a possibility, she says, laughing. The great thing to happen in her work this year was Bill 177, the Naturopathic Doctors Act, a Nova Scotia law that means the only people allowed to call themselves naturopaths or naturopathic doctors are, in fact, qualified and certified. “It’s making sure the public is protected,” says Baillie, who is the co-president of the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors. “And it ensures public confidence. The more we educate the public about it, the better.” 308-5880 Spring Garden, 425-0542
