“I haven’t been in radio for a whole long time,” says Balch, one member of the two-year-old morning team at Z103, along with Jeff Cogswell and Shane Wilson. “But people really appreciate our energy. We all let each other be ourselves. We’re all so different.” The show hooks listeners with a hefty dose of public interaction--- “people are constantly calling in, randomly”---and daily themes---“big issues and little issues”---which recently included whether the first kiss makes or breaks a potential relationship. There’s also opportunity for Balch to meet bands coming through town, like Hedley. “The other day I was on the tour bus with Ill Scarlett,” she reports.
