Former NSCAD students Christopher Joyce and Susanne Saul turned their passion for design into a contemporary furniture business in 1995, which is still growing in downtown Halifax and St. John’s. “We definitely bring in things we know will be popular,” says manager Leslie MacDougall. “We do special orders and sell directly off the floor. If you fall in love with one of our floor models, we’re happy to let you take it out the door.” Customers will soon have more to take, as the Bayers Lake location of Attica Kids has moved into the second floor, and Attica itself is expanding upwards to the two floors above, following renovations currently taking place. 1566 Barrington, 423-2557
