In last year’s Best of Halifax we bade farewell to Ben Dover, who was leaving for Toronto. But lucky for us, this year we’re happy to shout, “Welcome home!” At the Pride festivities on the Common, the city’s fave Drag King performed an unusual number---the catchy Paul Simon tune, “You Can Call Me Al.” “It’s nice and upbeat and I wanted to go with something that would appeal to everyone.” These days Ben Dover is busy with the drag-king troupe Dawgtown Bois and the newly formed youth group, Dawgtown Puppies. So cute!
