Best Place To People Watch

Spring Garden Road

If you got Velcro-ed to a wall anywhere on Spring Garden Road between Barrington and South Park Streets, you’d see everybody you ever knew, and it wouldn’t take all that much time. The churchgoers and the panhandlers outside the Basilica; the boho juniors hanging out at Dalhousie Architecture; the librarians going for bagels; the artsy farts going into il Mercato; the CBC folks with their Pete’s Frootique bags filled with lunch; the authors in and out of Frog Hollow and Bookmark; and, if it’s summer, everyone else in the whole world in the library, and just outside, scarfing fries and dogs.

1st runner-up Halifax waterfront
