Lesley Choyce

It was another busy year for the prolific Lesley Choyce. He published his seventh novel, Sea of Tranquility, which details the struggles of a small island community. He won an Ann Connor Brimer award for excellence in children’s literature for his work Shoulder The Sky. He also managed to find time to teach part time at Dalhousie and work as managing editor of Pottersfield Press. He’s probably written three more books in the time it’s taken you to read this.

Runner-up: Donna Morrissey
