Public Gardens

Though you can only really enjoy it six months of the year (and even then you’re not allowed on the grass) you sure are fond of the Public Gardens. Why? Well, this best public space winner boasts a tree planted by King George, a totally random staircase, a perpetually confused sundial, overweight and over-anxious ducks, totally decent Saturday afternoon entertainment and some pretty darn spectacular gardens. A three-time champ. Spring Garden at South Park

Runner-up: The Halifax Common
