Overheard in Shoeshop washroom: Stall 1: “This such a cool space.” Stall 3: “Yeah, I wish we had a Shoe Box in Moncton.” Out-of-towners and locals alike dig the decor in this Halifax hot spot. Owner Victor Syperek’s background in set and production design is obvious and though the ideas are his own, he credits a host of talented people who helped with the execution. “The atmosphere is such that you can be cozy and intimate or move to another room and be in the middle of it all,” Syperek says. “I travel a lot and wherever I am I get inspired by art and architecture.”
