Best of Halifax

Best Journalist

Stephen Kimber

This former Daily News-er made national headlines back in January when he tendered his resignation in frustration with the restrictive editorial policies of then-owners, CanWest Global. But maybe you know him better as the director of the Journalism School at King’s College or as special projects editor here at The Coast. He wrote a book about Halifax at war too, called Sailors, Slackers and Blind Pigs. He’s a real Renaissance man, that Stephen Kimber, and your best journalist choice.

Runner-up: Jon Bruhm, CKDU
