The April Storm

Two Hours Traffic
The April Storm
Remarkably confident for a wee PEI quartet (they’re 19), The April Storm is six acoustic-based songs about girls and wide-eyed first loves (“You’re so far out of my league/ I can’t see why you’re here with me”). Singer Liam Corcoran has a pleasant, slightly fuzzy voice reminiscent of Johnny Rzeznik, and it’s a perfect partner to the tight playing and Trevor Campbell’s just-this-side-of-glossy production. The welcome resurgence of smart, sensitive rock (In-Flight Safety leads the pack) continues.
