The Onion's AV Club Disses Buck 65?

The Onion's AV Club put out an article today titled "Diggety diggety iggety dead end: Das Efx and 15 Hip-Hop Revolutions That Weren't." Along with Digable Planets, Panjabi MC and the Disposable Heroes of HipHopricy, the post's writers list Buck 65 as a rapper whose career "didn't blow up as much as fade away."

I suspect many would beg to differ on this one. After all he was just here, doing a music video, for his new album commemorating 20 years of varied output. Sure, his career has had its ups and downs or whatever, but the article makes it sound like he's only done one album worth listening to, or something, which as we all know is patently untrue (for example, last year's Dirtbike sessions were among my favorite things he's ever done.) He's hardly Bass is Base.

Anyway, while I love the AV Club and think they are the best at making lists of this kind, it seems they're a bit off the mark with this one. But what do you think? Leave your comments over at the original post.

Update: Jesse Dangerously responds!
