What’s popular in your shop right now?
We do custom work, so it’s definitely a mix. But in Halifax anything to do with the sea, the ocean, is always popular here. Anchors and lighthouses. Octopi.
Do you have a tattoo you’re most proud of?
So many of them. It’s usually the most recent. I just finished a full leg sleeve. It’s of Poseidon with the Kraken crushing a boat.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever tattooed on someone?
I tattooed a sun and three teardrops on a guy’s scrotum.
What’s the favourite piece on your own body?
Probably my sleeve, it’s a nun and a church by Damian Robertson in Banff.
What’s the first thing someone should consider before getting a tattoo?
They should find a good artist they can click with. That’s the most important. Cleanliness would be second.
