Feast your peepers on this shit: HRM's poet laureate announcement

The amazingly talented Tanya Davis is now going to be poeting on the reg for the HRM, and generally representing awesomeness to the literary world.

Attend the Mayor’s Poet Laureate Celebration Reception and Open Mic (Sunday, May 1 at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, 1:30-3:30pm) and congratulate Davis in person. Last year's poet laureate Shauntay Grant will be at the reception to pass the torch.

There will be a Q&A with both Davis and Grant. You can also take a crack at impressing them by presenting your poetry or spoken word for the open mic. Contact Siobhan Wiggans at wiggans@halifax.ca and sign up to present a work or an excerpt of a work up to three minutes in length.
