Feeling blue? JazzEast brings the Laila Biali Trio back to Canada after recording and touring with (the one, the only) Sting overseas for An Evening In Blue: 6th Annual JazzEast Gala Fundraiser for Music Education (Sunday, December 6, The Lord Nelson Hotel Ballroom, 6pm, $125. A receipt will be issued for $60 of each ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the JazzEast box office).

The fundraiser includes an auction of one of a kind works from Nova Scotia’s artisan and artistic communities, weekend getaways and more. There’s supper in it for you too and performances by some of the Creative Music Workshop students, not to mention that Laila Biala might perform her arrangement of Radiohead’s "High & Dry." That would be crazy. If you’re busy that night, you can still donate at www.jazzeast.com/make-donation.
