One-night only! Iron Maiden: Flight 666 Bayers Lake, 9:30pm, Tuesday May 5
Canadian filmmakers Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn travelled in jet flown by singer Bruce Dickinson.

Last summer I saw the world premiere of Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn's great documentary Global Metal at NXNE, an investigation into how heavy metal culture has permeated every corner of the earth. The instantly likable filmmakers are back with Flight 666, which is screening in six Canadian cities, including Halifax, for one day only on Tuesday.
Dunn and McFadyen followed the Maiden on the first leg of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour, to 23 shows in 13 countries in 45 days, travelling over 70,000 kilometres in a private jet. Oh yeah, which was piloted by lead singer Bruce Dickinson. Watch for the emergency exits.
If you can't make it tomorrow night, Bayers Lake at 9:30pm, the film comes out on DVD in early June.
