Mellow music fans have a reason to love Halifax winters with a burning passion, and that’s thanks to the fine folks at the In The Dead of Winter Festival. Held on January 27-31, this year’s festival will play host to Mike O'Neill, Saddle River String Band, Good Lovelies, Amy Honey, Cahalen David Morrison, Dinah Thorpe, Crista Couture, Meg Hutchinson, Christina Martin, Andrea Romalo, Alexandra Ribera, Amelia Curran, T-Nile, Heavy Meadows, Laura Peek, Chris Picco, TFC, Peter Katz, Heather Kelday, Dom Deluca, Dany Frederick, Ruth Minnikin, Matt Epp, Share, Acres and Acres, Erin Costelo, Ryan MacGrath, Lynne Hanson, Ryan Cook, Ann Walton, Olympic Symphonium, Rich Aucoin, Lindsay Ferguson, Justin Rutledge, Catherine MacLellan, Buck 65, Ria Mae, Kim Wempe, Josh Dean, Klarka Weinwurm, Lynn Miles, Sherman Downey, Bend the River, Ferron, Jolie Holland, Tanya Davis With a line-up like that, you would be wise to invest in a good pair of boots to take you from venue to venue this year.
