Shanti Yoga is headed for Spring Garden

More yoga downtown this summer!

Posted By on Thu, Apr 2, 2015 at 4:00 AM

This summer Shanti Hot Yoga (114 Woodlawn Road and 620 Nine Mile Drive) will enter hat trick territory when it opens studio number three on Spring Garden Road. Its first location on the peninsula will open corner of Spring Garden and Birmingham (on the basement level of the new development where Winsby's once stood). "We focused on the markets that were less developed, going outside the city where there was less yoga and building that up first," says Shanti manager Kyla MacKinnon. "Those markets are a little bit more challenging and we managed to do pretty well. In a way we were missing a whole market of people who weren't willing to travel."

The downtown location will offer the same diverse lineup of classes—of the heated, reduced heat and unheated varieties—and teachers as the other Shanti studios. It aims to be open for July 15.
