Patch Halifax—sew good

Fabric shop/work room coming soon to Robie

You’re going to want to thank Christina Pasquet, her idea is a bright one. This summer she’ll open Patch Halifax, a modern fabric shop/work room hybrid where the fabrics will the hard-to-find kind (like Liberty, Birch and Cloud 9) and there’ll be hands on deck to help you use ’em.

Packing five sewing machines, a serger, irons and a big cutting table, Patch will offer classes and give you the option of renting a machine by the hour. “We think sewing is best when done amongst friends and fellow enthusiasts so we welcome anyone and everyone,” says Pasquet. “Even if the last experience with needle and thread was in 6th grade home ec.”

Patch will be moving into 2571 Robie Street, yes that’s the current home of Nurtured, but fear not, the parent paradise will be moving to 2599 Agricola Street, to shack up with Cyclesmith and the NSLC. I'll have more on that exciting news later.
