What better way to celebrate spring than having a yard sale with friends, especially when those friends all own stores along Queen Street's vintage row.

Amanda Bulman, owner of The Attic: Vintage and Vinyl (1526 Queen Street) credits Sherry Lynn Jollymore and Amy Honey, owners of Fancy (1526 Queen Street), with the idea, saying they got together and decided to do something special for spring this Saturday, April 19th.

“We were just like, 'we should do something, it's spring, we should put racks out, we should do something fun,'" says Bulman. Starting at noon this Saturday, The Clothes Horse, Elsie's, Something Elsie's, The Attic, Put Me On, Sweet Pea Boutique, Irises Flowers and Fancy will all have racks available for pedestrians to browse as they enjoy the beautiful (here's hoping) spring day.

Each store is going to things a little different but a lot of the second-hand stores will have merchandise going for $5-$15 and Sweet Pea will have a rack of new spring dresses for as low as $30, along with a BOGO inside the store. Vintage row owners think this yard sale will get people off Spring Garden and up on the little side streets. “I think where we are is great, I just don't think there is any representation of us on Spring Garden Road to drive people up here because we are two buildings up.” says Pamela McInnis, owner of Put Me On, who is also participating. “And we're all together, so if you hit one, you hit all of us.”
