I am very happy to report another addition to the growing collection of independently-owned women's boutiques downtown. Welcome Better Than Her Boutique (5640 Spring Garden Road) Courtney Jones' soon-to-be-open shop full of clothing, shoes and jewellery. The store's website tells a lovely little story about Jones' time living in northern Canada, where she built a strong appreciation for wildlife and even came up with a name for her budding boutique. It says "An Elder once shared with her that amongst all species of deer, Caribou are the only females that grow antlers. Their antlers are used to protect themselves, their young, to forage for food in the deep snow, and to impress & win mates! Female Caribou surpass all other female Cervidae. Simply put, they are 'Better Than Her'." So cool. We're currently waiting to hear back from Jones, but don't worry, we'll share all the juicy details when we do.

***Update***

Better Than Her is open! Check it out on the second floor of Spring Garden Place Mall.
