Green Heritage Tree Services help Tree Canada

Green Roots program plants trees as they're pruned

Posted By on Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 4:00 AM

You can smell it in the air, and see the shoots of beauty emerging from the mud. With spring coming, many folks with yards or green spaces will be looking to clean up for the growing season. Green Heritage Tree Services (14 Cider Maple Drive in Timberlea, 789-8733) provides landscaping services including tree pruning and removals.

Last year, starting on Earth Day 2010, Green Heritage donated to Tree Canada for the planting and maintenance of trees in urban and rural Canada during the year. The planted trees---for non-commercial purposes---cost Tree Canada $4 per tree. To date, Green Heritage removed 250 trees and the same amount will be replanted, thanks to their donation. Green Heritage is considering continuing the program going forward.

You can contact Green Heritage and find out what they have planned for 2011, or find out more about the good work Tree Canada does, and donate directly for Earth Day 2011, at their website.
