Embassy Nightclub

Posted By on Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 1:50 PM

Contemporary nightclub Rain (1661 Argyle) closed at the beginning of the month, following a final New Year's Eve shindig. Luckily, the space didn't stay quiet for long: tonight, the Embassy Nightclub opens for business in the same locale. The new club's the venture of Rain owner Charlie Khoury and a new partner, DJ Afif Khan. The space now features new colours, new flooring, a revamped layout and a brand-new "bed lounge," where VIP clubgoers get to sit on beds, and be served by their own private bartender. "We're trying to give our customers as many options as we can," says Khoury. Clubgoers can also expect appearances by celebrity DJs, including Hollywood's DJ Steve Aoki (aka Kid Millionaire). Hey, we were sold at "bed lounge." Where else can you party in "big-city" style, recreate your favorite scene from Bedknobs and Broomsticks? Call the club at 422-8003.
