Pete's Frootique

Posted By on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 8:51 AM

Things are set to start moving and shaking, renovation-style, over at the Pete's Frootique in the Sunnyside Mall in Bedford early in the new year. Why the changes? "The basic idea behind the whole renovation is better flow for the customer," says Jeff Supple, store manager. Plus, it's time for a change. "It just looks tired," says Supple, of the store's current set-up. A "Decadence Centre" (a popular area at the Pete's on Dresden Row that offers chocolate, fudge and other sweets) will be added to the Bedford Pete's during the renovation process, and the store will also begin offering more prepared food. To make room for the new products, the store will combine its fish and meat departments and... the big, space-hogging "lighthouse-looking thing" in the centre of the store is also on the way out. Pete's will be open throughout the renovations, which the store aims to complete by mid-March. Still not raring for renos? Sit back, and let Supple blow your mind: "We have a secret that we don't want out of the bag yet, that we're going to be doing...something new to the Maritimes that we haven't seen yet. Not even in the other Pete's." Contact the store at 835-4997.
