Body shaming, mocking and talking smack about the new GF?  Sounds more like bullying than gender solidarity. —Cancel my subscription

I certainly feel this is worth a grand bitch!

Recently received a traffic ticket. The officer giving me the ticket, though not warranted considering the logic behind the ticket makes no sense what so ever, advised that if I feel I shouldn't be given this ticket that I can contact the number listed on the "Front" of the ticket to enter a plea. I also check the back of the ticket and this is what's printed on the back of the ticket:

"OPTION #2 - NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPEAR IN COURT
If you wish to Plea Not Guilty and have a trial, or Plea Guilty and make a submission as a penalty, or Plea Guilty where no amount is specified in the summons, you must contact the court and file a Notice of Intent to appear in Court.  To do this, contact the Court indicated on the front of the Summons"

When the number is dialled, you get an automated machine giving you a bunch of options, none are related to Summons, but more contact information for Cape Breton and HRM Courts.  When you choose HRM, you get phone and fax for Dartmouth and Halifax courts then disconnects.  Once you contact the required court to get information about the Summons and to enter a Plea as advised on the Summons, the person in the Court advises you that they can't do that and you'd have to go to Court and do it in person.

Why The FUCK is the number on the Summons and Why the FUCK are cops ill-informed?  Why is it written on the Summons to call that stupid number! Also if you're a resident of HRM or CBRM, you have no other option but to pay the ticket unless you're willing to travel to the nearest Court!  TALK ABOUT A MONEY GRAB!!!! Summons are given based on the discretion of the officer, whether it's deserved or not, it doesn't matter.  How fucked up is that?!!!! — PUNKASS PROVINCE!

I never submit bitches but I am so hurt by yet another meddling property complaint we just received. We are the Griswold's of our neighbourhood and have storage lockers to hold all of our Christmas lights which I agree have become slightly rusted due to the continued winter weather. Hard to paint this time of year. Apparently someone from our evolving snobby neighbourhood takes exception. These complaints ruin people's lives and makes our neighbourhood a toxic place where you now do not trust your neighbours. We live our lives without bothering anyone and wish other people could learn to mind their own business.I am hurt by this and an anonymous call is cowardly. I would never do this to anyone myself. Mind your own business and let people live their lives. —Disillusioned HRM Resident

It's bullshit that restaurants can so easily opt out of donating a fucking dollar per burger to Feed NS. —Empowering the community my ass

I was shocked and disgusted to hear about the vandalizing of 29-ish HRM bus shelters a couple of weeks back, with tons of broken glass to clean up and replace.  But isn't it time HRM started making bus shelters out of UNBREAKABLE material?  What about the plexiglass-type stuff they use in hockey arenas?  Also known as common sense. —Long-time transit rider

While Burger week is an awesome way to raise funds for Feed Nova Scotia it is also a great way to highlight the shitty, half assed effort of our city's older, failing restaurants. I was nothing short of disgusted browsing the grey, overexposed photos submitted to the causes website. At least wipe your greasy finger prints off the lens before taking the photo. For those of you raving about your "history" and a loyal clientele - it's the age of social media, get in the game or move on out - you're dragging yourself down. —The Burgerbitch

I hate when I am asked over and over for something or to do something and when I answer NO the other person goes on "please, please, please" after hearing it over and over. Makes my anxiety go crazy and I try so hard not to snap! —My Answer is No

So I work at a local business in the north end, and something that I hate is when people come in drunk. We have a lot of bars in the north end and a lot of people who enjoy to drink, and almost like clock work we get one or two people who come in completely smashed, and I'm forced to be the bad guy who has to kick them out. We’ve dealt with people yelling, knocking over displays and flat out stealing in front of me…I was going to put up a sigh to say "drinking is done at the bar not our store" but the boss said it would look bad on us...I wish I could to deter this in some fashion. I’m honestly tired and frustrated. —Someone who doesn't get paid enough

Why are there so many “photographers” at every event and concert in this city? We all know the trend of today—everyone and their dog is a photographer now but why do we need 10 amateurs with a DSLR walking around a stage like they own it? They are not respecting the performance or the audience; they wear distracting clothes and actually talk to their fellow-photographer friends throughout the show!  This has been my experience attending events ranging from intimate theatre concerts to public shows at Grand Parade Square to so many other music and art venues around the city.

What happened to quality over quantity? I do see the attraction for promoters to give a press-pass to a bunch of millennials with a huge Instagram following but Halifax, show some respect to the people who paid and showed up to enjoy the show. —doitfortheart
