If you buy a new box of condoms....and use one....you can't return the rest for a refund....even if you cannot use the rest due to a fluke allergic reaction?!?!

I bought a new condom brand, and it turns out my girlfriend is SUPER allergic to whatever lubricant is on the condom....we were both surprised because other brands have worked fine.



If you use a product and then realize you can't handle whatever chemical is in it shouldn't the store you bought it at be supportive and refund your money for the remaining majority of the product?

When talking to a pharmacist about it today, she said:

If I bought a cake, ate a piece, then noticed something wrong with the cake, the store would most likely refund my money...

She wasn't sure about condoms, but said "If they return 1/2 eaten cake, I should think they would return a medical-related thing like condoms".

Customer Service disagrees...So basically I lose my $10....and get to keep my remaining 11 condoms as a reminder of my lost funds...

How can a store stand behind their cake but not birth control?!!?!?!

I recently read a bitch on here that I feel sadly reflects a great deal of Haligonian’s opinions, in general. I think that a lot of people once they reach the age of majority and beyond forget that they themselves were once children and they also frequently appear to forget how they themselves, probably behaved. I have found that Halifax is an extremely unfriendly city towards children or families. It isn’t very common to see families’ journey downtown, or at least, not on the scale that you would in other places. I’m not sure exactly why this is, however my guess would be that having a child present might make someone feel as if they have to take responsibility for their own actions in a broader sense. If a child and their caregivers’ aren’t allowed to join the rest of society, then what does that say about our society? Quite often young parents feel forced to live in isolation due to comments and expectations of others. What would this do to women’s roles in our culture? If you, the reader, is the sort of person who frowns upon a baby being brought into a restaurant, then please ask yourself if you would like to be free to leave your home with your child when or if you have one? If you are absolutely certain that you will never be in a position where you would ever care for another tiny human being, then, please ask yourself, if you really feel as if your parents or whoever raised you should have been forced to stay at home during your childhood? An infant, toddler or kid will act however it would be age appropriate for them to act; what age do you believe a person would have to be to believe that one group in society is allowed to have more rights and freedoms than another one? At what point in our culture are we allowed to exclude others because of how we feel about them?

YOU FUKING SUCK and for that matter MOST of the cab companies in this city SUCK SHIT....I waited yesterday for a taxi for 45 mins outside the establishment that I called the cab to, I am very understanding of rush hour etc, so I patiently waited....after 30 mins I called to see how much longer it would be...the dispatcher said the driver put the call in as a NO SHOW....BECAUSE HE WENT to the wrong establishment so I had to wait another 20 mins for a cab to come to the right place....When I got in the cab I commented about the drivers not knowing the city too well and told him the story and he said...if the dispatcher hadn't of told him where to go over the radio he would have went to the SAME place the first driver went to....GIMMIE A FREAKING BREAK....I hate the cab service in this city of 375,000!!

i wish new parents would realize that most people don't care that you made a baby( something dogs and rats can do).

Also most people would like to take their partner out for a nice meal that doesn't involve your screaming 2 year old who is being ignored and allowed to scream its head off for the last 10 min.

Seriously, if a cell phone and not a baby was making that much noise for that long the owner would die of embarrassment. why is it ok if its your child.

To the roommate who can't seem to keep from getting in to financial obligations which are above his means. You love to skate so much and yet you just HAD to get that thing. It's your business what you do with your money, that said, since that time I've started noticing a pattern of recklessness and deceit. This behaviour is costing you friendships, dude. I'm worried as hell - not about the money, but about the psychology of a guy who in his mid twenties never accepts responsibility for his mistakes and is still calling his parents mummy and daddy, especially when you're taking that much shit from them on the phone. You're not stupid. You're actually really perceptive, and always live in the moment. It's too bad you don't even think you're smart enough to read a calendar or ride the fucking bus. It's time to move forward and take steps to expand your boundaries. Everyone's got challenges they must face in life, but you need to finally take control and be a man, for eff's sake.
