I celebrated two years of sobriety last week. Two years! I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would be where I am now two years ago. I drank more than I can remember. I drank more than I can forget. Thank you to all my friends. I love you all so much. Thank you to my big sister for making the call and waking me up from the nightmare. You stood by me and watched me grow from the pain and the dirt and kept the faith. There was always a real person in here. I would like to say to anyone out there who is down on the canvas right now: Never stop fighting ‘till the fight is done. You are alright. You are loved. You will win this fight. Never give up. Never. Ever. Ever. Keep your hope alive. Always remember that you are worth it. The sun is so much brighter now. I won't say it's easy, because it's not.
