There are so many beautiful, interesting places out there, and I knew that I'd miss my Nova Scotia while visiting some of them, but I didm't know how giddy I would get having only days till I'm reunited with my favourite place in the world. To every person in Nova Scotia that makes it so much more with their kindness, love and determination - you all know who you are, and if you don't I hope someone informs you - I just want to say thank you so much and I love you all with all my heart. Nova Scotia may not be perfect, but there are so many reasons to love it. —Coming Home Soon

So i was putting my boots and snowpants on, when suddenly I heard that sweet growl just outside my door! I looked outside to see that you had dug out my driveway and my car, as well as my walk, with your snowblower, and that you had done the same for everyone else too--just WOW!! You made the stormy day really nice for all of us--thanks for being a really great guy and a totally awesome neighbour! — i <3 living in the north end

To the man walking by my apartment this morning after the snowstorm and saw me waving frantically and pounding on the glass - BLESS YOUR HEART for coming over and kicking the ice off the door so I could get out! —Gracious Lady

A big "Thank you!" to our south end of Barrington Street neighbours who came out to push and shovel us out this morning! —Corolla Couple

I am a young woman (37..still young in my books) who has experienced loss...too much loss. I have lost friends, family and mentors. Each loss has caused me to reflect on my own life and revalue what is important, what I want to do with my life, and how precious life truly is. I ask that each of you do the same. Revalue your life. Decide what is important to you and go for it. Life is truly short. Live your life, fully and completely! I understand it is easy to get wrapped up in the craziness that life brings but please try to take some time out to have fun. If tomorrow never comes, how will you reflect on your life? Live freely, love with an over abundance and laugh hard till your belly hurts! —Live, love and make sure you laugh!

For every nasty, rude, closed-minded person, there are at least a dozen lovely, kind, open-minded people in this city. Soooo thankful for all my swell friends! —Hali Lover

Oh how I love all the beautiful Greek men in the city. Having such yummy eye candy during the week sure is a sweet treat. The little guy at the pizza place, the well-spoken man driving the taxi, and the table of older gentlemen at the food court - yum! —Get me to the Greek!

Could it be that i'm just crazy to think that I could reach someone in this way...am I just a fool? I could be her biggest fan...no...much more...does she want or even need this? I know some have turned against me with thoughts and opinions that only serve a negative outcome.

Why listen to them...they don't know or represent me. This saddens me...but then, i'm outnumbered, am I not? How does this happen, to feel so strongly about someone. She has me now. I'm not going anywhere...unless that is her wish… —i'll do the rest

HRM Transit stopped running at 11:00am today because of the hella-storm that got really bad really fast. The last #1 was just crossing the bridge to the bridge terminal when the message for all buses to return to the garages came on over the speaker. I wasn't looking forward to the long slog through the blizzard to get home from the terminal. A big thank you to the Out of Service bus driver who gave a ride to those of us who would be getting off at one of the stops along Victoria between the terminal and his turn-off to the bus garage as he was heading that way anyway! I sure hope I'm not getting anyone in trouble for this because everyone on the bus was very grateful! —safe and warm at home

It has been a rough six months my friends and most of you haven't been around to see it. But to the friends who have stayed by my side to see my growth and root for me along the way, I have no words for how crucial you have been to my recovery. How very much you have been appreciated even when it isn't obvious. And to one little blond girl in particular, I love you to death and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Champions!! —A New Me
