A late thank you

Posted on Tue, Dec 31, 2013 at 5:32 PM

To the fine, fine person who found my cars keys in mid December and figured out which car it was, left a note on the windshield and my keys in a nearby coffee shop, I say a giant "thanks". It was so yucky that day and I had my kids with me and no set of spare keys exists to my car. I hope your kindness comes back to you 10 fold! —A person who now takes better care of her keys

Heartwarming Hippie

Posted on Tue, Dec 31, 2013 at 5:30 PM

At right about this time two years ago, you came into the downtown store where I was working. As I was ringing you through, you told me you thought 2012 was going to be the best year yet. I was recently heartbroken, and responded pretty unenthusiastically. A few minutes later you returned with a small gift for me from a neighbouring store. That gesture meant a lot to me then, and I haven't forgotten it now. Things got a lot better in 2012 and 2013, and I think 2014 is going to be the best yet. I sure hope you feel the same! —Blond Birdie

Crushing With Synchronicity

Posted on Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 12:19 PM

I saw you today for the first time since we had that strange run-in at the library. You've been coming through my lane at my cashier job for months and I'm not sure why I blush so red and my heart beats so fast whenever I see you, stranger. All I know is that I'd love to find out. —Bunny in a Scrunchie

Posted on Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 12:18 PM

I Didn't get to Thank You because i didn't realize what happened till i got home . I was on a budget / gift card. I came up short so i had to take off that lrg.1 lb box of Smarties for my children.I was gathering my bags when i heard you ask the teller about the box .I said 'there a great deal on sale and walked away .I thought you got them for you till i got home and saw them in my bag I Felt so bad i didn't get to thank you .I Didn't understand or see the cashier slip them in my bag .Big things come in Small Packages What a loving thing to do . I Hope you read this . You didn't do it for thanks or my kids they weren't with me. I Wish ida clued in and thanked you right then , You really touched me . Proves to me our world is in better shape than some of us think when a Man in lineup slowed down by a woman counting her nickles instead of getting frustrated turns around and pays for the item put back after the woman has ALREADY gone thru the cash Thanks so much to the kind stranger who helped so discretely it went unnoticed proving he just wanted to help he didn't do it to get glory / attention,Amazing. Thank You ,Thank You, for renewing my faith in people AND for the 1lb. box of candy :)).. —Can't stop thinking about it Happy Momma .

Ambulance help on Gottingen

Posted on Sat, Dec 28, 2013 at 7:37 AM

To the guy who helped me carry the older injured gentleman down Gottingen and waited with me until his ambulance arrived - thank you. I had to rush away to an engagement so I didn't get your name, but it was sweet of you to stop and help me out with him. Your kindness won't be easily forgotten. —four-eyed lady in the black coat

An Anti-Bitch

Posted on Wed, Dec 25, 2013 at 8:49 AM

Here's to the kind hearted person in front of my wife in the Timmys drive thru who paid for her coffee and drove away with not a chance to thank.... Merry Christmas. Nice to see there are still kind hearted individuals out there.....unlike the asshole who was recently spotted stealing other people's Christmas gifts. Hopefully Santa will fill your stocking with shit —Santa's Helper

Icy Road Problems

Posted on Mon, Dec 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM

I was stuck on the hill at the intersection of Old Sambro and Herring Cove Rd last week on a patch of ice in the left turning lane (I have winter tires). I had my four ways on for what seemed like an eternity. People were driving by for a while while I sat there panicking. Thank you to the man who got out of his car last week and directed traffic away (also instructing me how to get over the ice lol) so I could back up the hill again and get over the ice patch. You are awesome!! —Honda Civic Girl

To my snowplow driving saviors

Posted on Sat, Dec 21, 2013 at 9:45 AM

Me, being the idiot that I am, left my grandfathers car parked in my driveway while the snow, rain and freezing temperatures froze a giant block of icy barricade to the end of my driveway. I thought the car may be stuck there until spring. That was until you came and saved the day Snowplow Driving Saviors. I was (slowly) chipping away at the frozen, icy doom when you drove by, noticed my struggles and offered a hand with your trusty plow. It was an early Christmas miracle. I'm sure many of the North Street rush-hour drivers were not to happy, but I sure was grateful. —Thankful shoveller

Lost watch on number 7 Gottingen about 1 to 2 weeks ago

Posted on Sat, Dec 21, 2013 at 9:44 AM

I know this is not a Love OR a Bitch, but I didn't know where to post it, so I thought it would be better as a "Love the Way we Love" item. About 2 weeks ago, I was taking the number 7 Gottingen home and noticed something shiny on one of the seats that face across each other at the back. It was an older Bulova watch, without a strap, and I assume someone was either going to buy a new strap or they were using it without a strap. It is a nice watch and works beautifully, even if it is an older watch. After it spent almost 2 weeks at my place and I hadn't done anything about it yet, I decided to return it to the bus driver so he could bring it to Halifax Metro's Lost and Found and explained what happened to him. He is bringing it to the Metro Transit Lost and Found today. If you have lost that nice, old Bulova watch or know someone who has lost a beloved old watch, please let them know where it is. Sorry for the delay in getting it to the Lost and Found. —Nice guy returning (what looked like) a woman

Raven-haired Smile maker

Posted on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 3:35 PM

I saw you this morning and was stopped in my tracks! Shoulder length Raven hair, slim build.... completely stunning.

I've been up and down the hallway a thousand times. Today was the first time i've ever seen you. I was walking toward you to introduce myself but you were obviously in a hurry to get back to your work with your burrito in hand and scooted in before I reached you.

I'm looking forward to our next First encounter. —Amazed O.o
