A charged interlude

I went in for a light bulb and got your high-watt smile instead. We passed one another three times, the third being outside, in the rain. Were you waiting for a fellow shopper to emerge? I walked on in my rubber boots, carrying my yoga mat, and wishing I could have thought of something more to say than "hi." But the smiles we exchanged? Made my day. —Hope Our Paths Cross Again
