When words fail, flee?

Posted on Mon, Dec 12, 2011 at 1:19 PM

To the gorgeous woman with the darkest black hair, blue eyes and red lipstick… we had been smiling and saying hello when we passed one another for quite some time but we never seemed to have the opportunity to really talk to each other. If you got the impression I was really into you even though I didn’t know you or even your name, you would be 100% right. There certainly seemed to be a bit of a connection. Then we seemed to have stopped crossing paths for a couple of months, and in that time I started dating someone. When we ran into each other next in the line at the coffee shop and finally had a chance to chat, I’m sure it appeared that I was rushing off without much to say. It was just an unfortunate combination of shyness on my part and not knowing what to say knowing I wasn’t able to ask you out. It was nothing you did and I felt terrible about it for months afterwards. Certainly not one of my shining moments. I notice you turn your head when we cross paths now but I totally understand. I just wanted to apologize. Any guy would be the most fortunate of souls to spend some time with someone like you. —The Guy With the Bad Timing
