Friendly Smile

Posted on Mon, Aug 29, 2011 at 12:27 PM

To the SUV mom at the grocery store today. The parking lot was very crowded and you left your cart blocking the only available space for my car. I had to get out of the car and move the cart, and you were still around so I gave you the evil eye. Thank you for rolling down your window. You said, "If I knew that this was going to affect you, I never would have done it. I'm sorry" That was a great thing that you did, it melted my anger and put me into a better mood for hours. We sometimes forget that the inconsiderate things that happen to us are not personal. I thank you for making it personal. And I pledge not to be so quick to draw any conclusions the next time it happens. —Touched By a Sincere Apology
