Many heartfelt thanks to the man who, after accidentally killing my cat and searching unsuccessfully for its owner, not only dealt with the body but showed incredible sensitivity and guts by leaving a lovely message where I would find it. The devastation of my pet's death was greatly softened by this act of wonderful kindness. So, so, so many thanks for not just driving away. —Morris Street Resident

Thanks to everyone who helped me out on Sunday, July 24 when a trip to a certain grocery store went horribly wrong. I still have no idea what happened, and so I have no idea who to thank for helping out until the paramedics arrived - but please know I am very grateful. Thank you to the public gardens for having a vast amount of thyme growing. I feel as a citizen it belongs to all of us and when in need of only a few sprigs where else is better? So thank you for making my sweet potato gnocchi with red wine and browned butter that much better! —Yum
