Love Drug

Posted on Fri, Feb 25, 2011 at 4:00 AM

Love is the real drug, the most wonderfully dangerous substance I have ever used, the god damn cadillac of internal chemistry. I often ask God why didn't he spare me from the suffering and give me a lesser sentence like heroin addiction, at least you can find that shit on the street for rendered services or whatever amount of crumpled up coke straws that goes for. "Hello my name is #$%!" I first stared using Love in high school, her name was Jenny. Those first words "I Love You" flowed out of her luscious lips into my ears and into my heart on that starry summer night at her cottage where she tackled me on a gravel road just to tell me. We lay there staring up at all those burning little specks not giving a shit if we got run over because that was the best things could get. That was many disposable relationships, many online dates and many bottles of wine ago. Now I sit here in Lovers Anonymous wondering when I am going to relapse. —WFNVD
