So this week a couple of guys from St. FX were found not guilty of sexual assault. The judge found that the three-way they had with an unnamed woman was by all accounts consensual (seems there were partygoers and others wandering into the bedroom from time to time who became witnesses). My Bitch is why does the law allow these guys' names and their "perp walk" photos to be published the moment they are simply accused. I notice that the female complainant still has her name and photo hidden, even after she loses the case. That system is reasonable for the woman, but hey, even if innocent the guys will have this hanging over them forever. Any reason they can't put a lid on the entire case until it is decided? WTF.

I think you should know that any time a car is flying towards a crosswalk I do take my time. I do because my body is more vulnerable than your car. Stop coming to a rolling stop and expecting me not to give you some casual realness—it doesn't matter if I'm in a rush or not, if you are putting people in danger through your reckless driving I don't think you should be driving a vehicle. The reason there are so many rules surrounding the area known as the Public Gardens is to protect the grounds from those who may take advantage and misuse them through plain ignorance or malicious intent. These rules should not be viewed as a personal affront or bureaucratic boondoggle. To put it in the simplest terms, the Public Gardens is not a park—it is a garden for all to enjoy in perpetuity. Its designation literally means that the space is to be treated very differently than a park.

You should not walk on the grass unless you and your children wish to examine the flora, which is permitted. Interacting with the wild ducks is not a problem. It is unwise to feed them because they become accustomed to this behaviour and will not migrate. Its beauty and atmosphere is meant to be enjoyed, but it should not be treated as a mere picnic site to use at your convenience. If you had a pristine garden at your home that you cared deeply about, I doubt that you would take very kindly to complete strangers endlessly traipsing through it and mucking about at their pleasure.

I suggest that you take some time and look into the history of the Public Gardens. The story of its genesis and raison d'être may help change your negative attitude, and teach you to teach your children that the Public Gardens is not a playground but a Victorian oasis in the middle of a modern city. It should be cherished and respected, and its mandate defended by everyone who appreciates the privilege of entering its gates.

This weekend I saw people peacefully showing support for the protests in Hong Kong. Opposite them, and outnumbering significantly, were international students trying to drown them out with patriotic Chinese songs/chants, distributing Chinese Communist Party propaganda, and physically blocking the HK supporters with Chinese flags and their bodies. I don’t know what the conversion rate is on their Social Credit Score back home for displaying CCP brainwashing here, but trying to suppress others is counter to everything Canada stands for.

I recently have taken to task people posting meme's about white privilege is the reason why the white rapist was given a higher sentence for the "same" crime committed by a black man. This isn't the case. the black man was convicted on 5 counts of a higher charge but was given a retrial because one of the jurors was a victim of statutory rape and the defence knew it was their only saving grace. they then went to trial on 3 lesser counts of sexual assault because they couldn't convict him a second time on the original charges. the sentencing took into account the 5 counts he was already convicted of. Second thing people have been complaining about. 6 months is not enough for a sentence. This is a case of people not having a CLUE about judicial proceedings. It is well within a judge's capabilities to offer less than statute sentencing, after deliberating with the WEIGHT of all evidence presented to them. Let me tell you that WOMEN are given as the NORM vs the exception lesser sentences for rape and sexual assault. in fact, I looked on a website of women convicted of sex attacks on minors and men, that they often got less than 4 months for similar crimes. only on the ones that involved children younger than 11 did they match times given to men. To all SJW's out there that post a meme that is factually inaccurate. you are morally and ethically bankrupt if you are doing this. You are disingenuous when you post these things. you are lying with inaccurate "evidence" that is easily looked into. Stop making interpretations and using conjecture and accusations to silence someone who is trying to correct you for it. If you want support for your cause...STOP FUCKING LYING.
