This story may qualify under the way we love comments, as this Dad may indeed love his son. It was not evident today however.
As my friends and I emerged from a walk through Camp Hill Cemetery onto Robie St,. we heard loud angry shouting. A helmeted man, straddling a bike was yelling at a boy on the other side of Robie St., finally ordering him to come and "Ride in front of me! "As the boy wrestled with his bike and started to cross, a car heading south blared the horn and barely missed the child. You again shouted in anger: "What is wrong with you!?! Aren't you paying attention??” The child was indeed paying attention trying to comply with your directive. You should have crossed that busy street to accompany him. It up to you to protect him and look after him. That's your job. He’s probably scared of you. It is damaging to a child's self esteem to yell at him. He is just young and inexperienced. But more is expected of you. Try to get some parenting lessons. If you don't stand up for him, who will? If he had been hurt, it would have been your responsibility. —worried
