Invasive bottle collectors, please back off!

I used to have no reason to be bothered by the down-and-out people who roam my neighborhood every Sunday night collecting bottles and cans in their shopping carts. In most cases they simply open up the bags I leave out on the curb and take what the want. Lately, I've been finding that the bottle collectors are getting a little cheeky. One evening I came home to find a strange man on my porch rooting through a bag of recyclables I'd left there. It made me feel very uncomfortable that he felt he was entitled to come onto my property without permission to get his bottles and cans. I also have been occasionally leaving my house in the morning to find someone has torn apart my recycling bags in search of bottles and left everything else strewn across my front lawn. It isn't a nice way to start the morning to have to clean up the mess they left me and it makes our property look dirty and gross.
It may be wrong of me to be looking down at them for such behavior when they are obviously in bad situations and these bottles could be their source of income, but I think the people in my neighborhood deserve a little more respect.
