To the driver of the silver car clearly intent on nothing else but getting to the rotary from Connaught Avenue last week: It is my understanding that when there are three lanes (one for left turns, one for going straight, and one that gives the option to go straight or turn right), and the left turning lane is blocked by construction or something, then you can turn left carefully from the straight lane. You cannot, however, as I understand it, turn left from the right turning lane, cut off all the cars in front of you, and almost cause many people to lose their lives.
