A new kind of Chinese water torture

Landlord recently replaced all the plumbing fixtures—faucets, shower head, toilet—with the low-flow type. I'm all for conservation, and even though I can now piss harder than my shower sprays and sometimes have to flush the toilet six times after a night of donairs and hot wings, I'm happy to do my part. But why the kitchen sink? Why the bathtub?? It takes the same amount of water to fill the sink whether it fills in one minute or five. What is the use of me standing there getting carpal tunnel syndrome holding a pot under the faucet until there is finally enough water in it to cook my spaghetti? How is the environment served by me turning on the water and going off to have a wank while I wait 20 minutes for the tub to fill? I tell you, this conservation business has gone too far. —Mildly annoyed
