There used to be something I looked forward to every week. Every Thursday I would eagerly grab the paper, read the horoscopes, and then swiftly turn to the events pages. Everything was listed! It was glorious! Lectures, Musical Events, Art shows! It was so lovely to not have to refer to facebook or to the internet to see what was going on in my city. I could sit outside on my lunch break, or spread the paper open on my kitchen table, a few of us hunched over it. I knew about the big shows, and the little one's too, the shows that my friends were playing off the beaten path, the monthly star-gazing meetings at the planetarium. There was something nostalgic about this ritual. And now it's gone. The website I have to refer to is not easy to navigate, and I think the couple of extra pages were worth publishing. Let me read about my city without staring at a screen! Please! —What to do?
