Whiny little fuckers

Posted on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 11:34 AM

To all you people bitching about there being no jobs in Nova Scotia. You are the whiniest assholes I have ever met. You can't get a decent job here after you graduate, so that's Halifax's fault? I don't think so. It's your shitty attitude that is the reason why you're still working at Tim's with your degree(s).

I got a job right away after graduating with my BComm... in Halifax... with no connections. I didn't even use a temp agency. I went to a job bank and applied to many (yes, MANY---there are plenty of jobs here!) positions, got 5 interviews and 2 offers. No, I didn't have years of experience, no I didn't go out to Ontario or Alberta to get any experience. My ass stayed here. I have an excellent resume and cover letter and I can conduct myself well in an interview. THAT is how I got the job.

So consider my story as an inspiration to you bitter souls. Clean yourself up, get organized and do some self-reflection instead of blaming external factors for your un/underemployment when only you are to blame! —This Chum has a Career Here in Nova Scotia
