It was an interesting moment when I told you that I was writing a paper on Nazi Architecture and you responded by telling me with a big smile that your ancestors were in the SS. I especially liked how you told me that you knew when I responded to that by saying I was Jewish. I don't really get what I did wrong besides being the victim of bad luck, but you clearly were trying to provoke a hostile response. I guess I just don't see the humour in implying that some of your ancestors may have burned some of mine.
