I've been blessed to have a great kid. I'm not sure if it's my parenting or if she's just a good kid but I'm not questioning it. She spends a lot of her free time volunteering at our local animal shelter which she loves. A couple of weeks ago she decided to volunteer her time serving food to the homeless. The place in question gave her a single table to serve, clean up after, etc. I know she is capable of doing this as she is 15 years old and can do it at home easy enough. Other people took over her duties at this shelter and as she's not much for confrontation she stepped back and let them do it. They then proceeded to yell at her for not doing anything. Way to go, you really showed her the positives of trying to help other people that are currently less fortunate than her. I guess she can take this as a life lesson and go back to helping animals and reading to seniors, the beings who actually appreciate her efforts. I just don't understand why, with all the little shit head teenagers being violent and useless, she was treated like that for trying to help. —Loves Her Kid
