Beginning of the end

Posted on Fri, Feb 10, 2012 at 10:32 AM

Ok so I wake up this morning and I can hear my wife out fiddling around in the kitchen making breakfast (as it should be) and I realize that I will be getting breakfast in bed. Great! So I turn on the TV and start watching the news. A little while later she comes in with a tray with our "so-called" breakfast and hands me a plate and a cup of tea while saying "Good morning honey" (how cliché). I look down and I am horrified to see that she made me a home-made breakfast sandwich and she didn't even bloody well cut it in half. What kind of world do we live in where a man can't wait in bed for his breakfast sandwich and have it properly cut in half diagonally like it should be? I mean are we not living in a civilized society? It is a good thing you can't fire a wife. How big do you think my mouth is? Do you know how awkward it is to try and eat a sandwich when one side is flopping down while you are trying to bite it? Oh the horrors! Here I am letting you make me breakfast in bed and you can't even show me enough respect to cut the sandwich in half. Utterly ridiculous is all I can say. —Apology Expected
