Striking a smart pose does not make you smart
Dear girl in my class who strikes a lot of smart poses,
You may have fooled the rest of our classmates, but I know you. Your trendy little blazer and ironic T-shirt combo; trendy, ostentatious language; and faux-thoughtful lip-pursing head-nodding expressions do not make you smart. You think that spouting out one "brilliant" statement per class makes you some kind of genius? I'm tired of hearing about your awesome brain and think that your writing is inaccessible and masturbatory. I wish you would drop out and give us all some peace. —Dumb Fellow Student
